turn off, pin'eads

oh phill and phil. the morning show (7-10 am) on bbc6music is a RIOT. i love those guys. and they play the arcade fire alongside a bit of ska and a dash of new order. gotta love the juxstaposition....

some fun stuff:

1. went for a drink and a crepe (it is not a pancake, dammit. pancakes are smaller, thicker and served with syrup. sigh) with my new friend barbara last night after work. yay, new friends. and she's french, so my french, which has slipped well below fluent, is getting a work-out.

2. went for formal hall (dinner) at jesus college wednesday night with beth and david from work. sat next to an aussie who i wouldn't have kicked outta bed for eatin' crackers and he asked me for my email at the end of the night. sweet! so, ya...watch this space.

3. it's friday. thank the Lord.

4. one of the dudes in my office bathed in a cologne that i HATE this morning. so that's awesome. maybe i can go home early with "women's problems".

5. don't forget to wish your mums happy mother's day on sunday. if you happen to have a mom, and not a mum, you needn't worry about that until may.

6. i almost forgot! last night at the cafe with barbara they were playing the dears' cd "no cities left" (new-ish band from montreal who i went to see a month ago). go cambridge!
