late night shopping

i went late night shopping last night to finish up my christmas shopping. let's summarize my purchases:

1. fuschia mohair tibetan wrap (for me). check. can now check "do my bit for tibet" off my list.
2. twisted silver dangly earrings (for me) to replace those i lost six months ago. check.
3. christmas pud' for mom, dad, iain and i to have christmas day. aged: 6 months. includes brandy. check.
4. few groceries (not obviously christmas related, sure) including likely the most expensive item (by weight) that sainsbury's sells: saffron. 1 g saffron threads: 3 quid. (roughly equivalent to $3600 box of corn flakes)
5. bottle of wine and tapas with dickon (whom i ran into at sainsbury's! gotta love cambridge)

i think i did well!
