hi guys. hey. just gettin some exercise.
good grief. i am so rock and roll. i just came across some guys rolling a joint in the stairwell of my building. at least i think it was a joint, god help me. don't anyone tell my mom. my next thought, after holee shiiit, was "oh gawd. mom's coming to visit in the spring. imagine if we had been walking up the stairs together. oh, maybe we would've taken the elevator (or the elevator-cum-porta potty). err. maybe not." at any rate i'd better have found new digs by the time she comes over or there'll be hell to pay!
i feel the need to return to my blogging roots and hit you with a stream of consciousness-drafted list.
untitled:
1. a ramekin is not an ashtray.
my roommate's renos of our apartment make me feel like i need to lock away all my stuff in my room cuz if i leave it out it'll get broken/used for DIY. e.g. my exfoliating face scrub: mysteriously missing since roomie tried (but failed) to fix the power shower. feel pretty victorian in my personal hygiene habits these days. thinking of just dusting myself in leadened powder tomorrow and forgoing my daily sponge bath altogether! e.g. two - all the wine glasses in our flat: broken. all in once fell swoop-down from the rack he had "installed". ya.
2. got this friggin nail that i sliced (on my thumb - nowhere near the degree of injury my toe suffered so i'll spare you the pics) and it keeps catching on things and bending so that it stabs into my thumb. efff. i feel like i've become my mother (she's always got a hangnail she's nursing).
3. the littlest hobo! my brother just reminded me how i used to love that show! oh! and you can't do that on television! and the beachcomers. just spent way too long looking for a site that describes the littlest hobo for the uninitiated but i must now give up. there isn't one. all i could find were links to the DVD box set, one site erroneously saying it was an american show (outrageous!), and multiple blogs talking about it (not all glowingly). so if you're confused, just ask me.
and now to bed.

Big step - so do you think you will really get a new place - to get away from the limp-wristed DIY efforts and smack dealers. Thegumtree.com is a good site to check out, if you've not heard of it. I don't know
!!Sliimmmeeed!!
Great. Now I've got to change my chlothes.
