here are some of the things that have moved me to tears recently.

talking to my mom (a given).
talking to anyone other than my mom.
writing a text message.
reading an email.
walking into my house.
opening a window.

what is perhaps more alarming is the list of things that have not made me cry:

the arcade fire concert in may being sold out.
my new bicycle, nascent as not even to have been named, being unsuitable and thus needing to be returned.
almost royally fucking-up (but thankfully salvaging) a cheesecake. this not being so weird as am probably used to almost royally fucking up recipes....
not getting an interview for any of the jobs i've applied for.
not having any free time except if you count the time i spend on the loo.
being single. and broke.

emotional disintegration is a strange and wonderful thing.......
