i am really really angry.

my boss apparently makes off-handed remarks about who stays at work late (that being a good thing, in his eyes). the insinuation, when he PA told us this at the pub this lunch time, was that those of us who don't stay late (i.e. me) are slacking. that makes me very very angry. i come in most days at 8 - 8:15. a full two hours before i see the head of the professor. he's like a 3-year-old: if i can't see it, it isn't happening. so i can be at work for 9 hours a day, but the fact that i go home most days before 6 makes me a slacker. i'm nothing if not conscientious at work, and the thought that i'm logged in his mind as "not one of the diligent ones, for sure" makes me feel homicidal.
