i emailed the journal and they emailed me back (dear dr. mann, no less!) and said they'd publish an erratum. AN ERRATUM. oh, for fucks sake. the error they made is sort of like the american journal of epidemiology misspelling epidemiology. you'd think they'd want to be a little more subtle than that in their correction...
