why i love my friends

yay. jo and rob are here. and if i knew how to use this thing there would be cool links to their blogs right here. oh well.

so i just spent 20 minutes chatting with rob on msn and reading about what he and jo did today on his blog. sounds like they had a good day! no day-trip to brighton, which is probably best. the first time i went to brighton my friend claire and i decided to have a "picnic" on the pier and it was really really cold. the seaside always is, and today was blustery and rainy. so 5 points for rob for suggesting they stay in london and do trafalgar square, st. martin's in the fields (eating in the cafe in the crypt), buckingham palace (with the changing of the guard), the national gallery, and eating in soho! (minus 0.5 for not going to the national PORTRAIT gallery, which is my fave).

here's why i love these guys:
1) since rob and jo arrived monday and tuesday, respectively, they have seen two people rob knows from kingston (rick and judy). unbelievable.

2) they have also seen two celebs (christian slater and sofia coppola). that is 2 more than i've seen in almost 10 months! if you don't count the british actress who played Shazer in Bridget Jones. and I don't, really.

Number two isn't so suprising since i never know the names of any celebrities, and perhaps this applies to not knowing their faces either. recall: you know, he's in that movie. he dances and he's got the hair. (I was describing john travolta. duh.)

must...go...to...bed.
